The design contest "Yenilik Sensin'13" (Innovation is You'13) was created by LC Waikiki in order to develop creativeness and support  artists’ careers. Candidates were those students studying in the Faculties of Fine Arts or who recently completed their education and contestants were recognised at an award ceremony in the Historical Istanbul Sirkeci Terminal on December 18, 2013.
The hologram fashion parade technique was implemented for the first time in Turkey at the award ceremony and virtual fashion parade that combined cutting-edge technology with creativity attracted considerable attention from the audience.
A special jury consisting of many important names from the fashion world such as Fashion Designer and Contest Coordinator Özgür Masur, Style Advisor Deniz Marşan, Fashion Designer Elif Cığızoğlu, Our Fashion Advisor and Contest Coordinator Dr. Yeşim Bağrışen from Marmara University Faculty of Fine Arts Department of Textile as well as LC Waikiki CMO Maria Comfort and people from the LC Waikiki Design Team evaluated and graded 10 designs which advanced to the final.
Criteria such as creativeness, level of originality, practicality and wearability, innovation in the association of the materials used and the details, harmony between the details and design were considered in the evaluation stage.
Finally, Tuğçe Yıldırım was granted the championship award of TRY 10,000 while Müge Özdemir got the second prize of TRY 7,500 and Yasemin Biricik Tüjümet granted the third prize of TRY 5,000 with their special designs in the organization. As a result of the draw lots amongst 10 finalists whose designs won the most recognition in the social media contest, Gözde Yalabık was granted an iPad Mini.
