LC Waikiki’s Datathon is Completed

As the leading brand of Turkish fashion retailer LC Waikiki, the Datathon event we held in our Headquarters is ended. The event, which aims to develop artificial intelligence projects that will make life easier in fashion retailing, focused on sales and e-commerce issues. At LC Waikiki Headquarters, activities were carried out on Climate, Price and Stock and Sales Forecasting, E-commerce Churn Forecasting and Image Processing and Gender, Color, Product Group labeling projects.
As LC Waikiki, we organized the first data-oriented hackathon event of the Turkish fashion retail sector, to create solutions that facilitate life with artificial intelligence and create innovation . In the event organized at LC Waikiki Headquarters new solutions were developed about ; "Discover Sales" under the title "Climate, Price and Stock Availability Impact" Sales, "e-commerce" under the title "Churn" and "Image Processing" under the title "Gender, Color, Product Group". Kerem Özdemir, technology editor of Fortune Magazine, İsmail Parsa Head of Data of Hepsiburada, Dr. Gürhan Kök Professor at Koç University and founder of Invent Analytics. , Şerafettin Özer LC Waikiki AGM for IT Application Development, Salih Yilmaz LC Waikiki, AGM for E-Commerce, Serkan Ulukaya LC Waikiki Planning Strategy and Process Development Director , Nilden Çiğnitaş Yurdakul LC Waikiki Planning Strategy and Process Development Group Manager and Halil Aksu Founder of Turkish Artificial Intelligence Initiative and CEO of Gelecekhane, took part in the jury.
After a high application of 400 people, 96 people could participate in the event and after three days, the Crawlers team won the first prize with its project on Climate, Price and Stock and Sales Forecasting and won the grand prize of 15 thousand TRY. The TigersAI team, which ranked second with the Churn Estimation project in the e-commerce field, was awarded 10 thousand TRY and the Graduent Student Descent team, which ranked third with the Gender, Color, Product Group tagging project in the Image Processing field, was awarded 5 thousand TRY.
